Katie Eleanor is a Yorkshire abstract artist known for her large-scale mixed-media paintings.

Her unconventional style of mixed media allows her to build up layers of texture & rich colour into each piece.

Katie enjoys creating abstract art for homes and interiors. As well as producing new paintings to add to her collection, she works on large-scale commissions for clients in the UK.

Katie works directly with her clients as well as art consultants. In 2021 Katie completed a commission for a new Wetherspoons pub and Hotel in Northallerton.

About the abstract Art

Creating abstract paintings through the intuitive process of continuous layering of paint forms is the basis of Katie’s work.

The application of mixed media over time creates depth and texture from which her abstract paintings are formed.

All of Katie’s work are hand-made originals, and one of a kind, created in her Yorkshire studio using cotton canvas on wooden stretcher frames.

‘Alter Ego’

My work is my alter-ego: the part of me, which is hidden to most but, in the comfort of my art studio, has the freedom to express itself in bold, energetic and passionate ways where I’m never ‘too much.’

I walked into the pop-up Gallery in York and thought "WOW" when I saw Katie's art. I went back the next day and bought all four pictures. They look fantastic in the house and I have to say I really love looking at them. We like collecting the occasional painting but this is the only time I have ever bought four in one go!

I bought Katie's work "Expanse" as I couldn't stop thinking about it. My first piece of original art. I just sit and look at it and feel as though the colours are about to shift and move. Such an amazing talent.

I commissioned a painting with Katie that would meet my own specifications and throughout the whole process Katie kept me updated with the progress of my painting. I am overjoyed with the finished product and it more than met my expectations. I would highly recommend Katie-Eleanor Art if you want a commissioned piece of individual art.

My two children bought me one of Katie's paintings for my birthday. I fell in love with it straight away. What a brilliant piece of art work. I love the colours. A great addition to the house.
